Women’s Discipleship
The Discipleship Ministry at Portico seeks to provide a framework for disciples to follow Christ in the context of the local church. This community project takes shape in discipleship groups, care teams, and events for both women and men.
Women’s DiscipleshiP GROUPS
Discipleship Groups are an opportunity to meet in gender-based groups every other week and go deeper together in study of Scripture, in prayer, and in relationship. We mature together as disciples of Christ, growing in our love of God and others. These groups are open to newcomers! In order to maintain hospitality, allow for the group to connect deeply, and to raise up other leaders, groups are encouraged to multiply during the Winter and Summer breaks once they reach a larger size.
Discipleship Group leaders are fellow learners and members of Portico who oversee the group and help keep it consistent, but may share the responsibility to facilitate and host.

Women’s Care Team
The care team was formed to identify a few women (“care leads”) in the church who can come alongside other women with prayerful encouragement in hard or uncertain seasons. The care team is overseen by the elders.
Women’s Events
We will have a women’s event when community and discipleship groups break during winter and summer months. This will provide opportunities for women of all ages and stages to come together for fellowship and fun, which will help us continue to encourage one another on our spiritual journey and open doors for new connections.
