We wanted to provide you with an update regarding our worship location for Sunday morning worship services and ministry operations.
Portico Church Arlington has entered into a lease agreement for a new worship location. This new building will serve as our worship space for in-person gatherings and weekly ministry operations.
The address is: 800 N Illinois St, Arlington, VA 22205. This location is 1.2 miles from our present building.
Preparations are underway to transition our worship service and operations to the new location. In-person worship gatherings are tentatively scheduled to begin at the new location on Sunday, January 10. Please stay tuned for updated information.
As mentioned at our December Member Gathering, the building we have worshipped in for the past 18 months has been sold. December is our last month of occupancy. Knowing this, we prayed together during our Member Gathering for a new home and God immediately provided! This new location is an answer to your prayer.
How should we respond to this provision of a new building?
First and foremost, we should respond with gratitude and thanksgiving. The circumstances surrounding the loss of our present building and the acquisition of this new building make it blatantly clear that God has moved on our behalf. So, thank Him and prepare to enjoy this provision. The Pandemic has reminded us how debilitating isolation is. Let’s praise God for a place we can gather as His people.
Second, be patient. As with all new things, there will be a season of setting up and re-establishing our ministries in the new building. Plan on working with your ministry/service team in making this place our home.
Lastly, be ready. God has provided a new place to carry out the call He’s given us of Uniting People to Life in Christ. Join me in taking full responsibility for our future. Let’s use this gift to glorify God.
