Fall Women's Conference - Alive to God | 10.20.18

I’m a Christian woman. Why do I still struggle with sin? What does it even mean to be a woman today? Why do I feel anxious so much of the time? Does God know how I feel?

We have serious and life-changing challenges and questions. God’s word has true and life-giving answers. “So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 6:11)

What does it mean to be alive to God in Christ? The women of Portico will join together on Saturday, October 20, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to dive deep into Scripture to tackle these questions and find encouragement and hope through God’s promises.

The conference will be held at the Portico Church Office (3240 Wilson Blvd, Suite 200, Arlington, 22201) and will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. with worship and teaching. There will be lunch and afternoon breakout sessions for single and married women.

Boxed lunches from Jimmy Johns will be available to purchase for $5. When you REGISTER HERE, please choose your sandwich option. (There will not be time to go out to purchase food elsewhere; if you will not purchase a lunch from Portico, please bring a lunch with you.)

Race, Grace, & the Church | 10.29.18

Race, Grace, & the Church

DC is a global city made up of many ethnicities. Nations from around the world are represented throughout the metro area. This affords churches a gospel opportunity to integrate the local church with different ethnicities, cultures, ages, and races in order to show the gospel made visible like no other time in history. Given this opportunity, we will carefully consider the vision the Bible gives the church and what it takes to move forward. A particular focus will be given to what the church can do given the history of our country and our present cultural moment.

Main Speakers:
Thabiti Anyabwile & Russell Moore
Monday, October 29
Registration at 6:30pm
Event begins at 7:00pm
400 D St SE, Washington, DC 20003
